( it's quite like aventurine to try and find information even from this situation, when his life is being threatened and he's so vulnerable in someone else's hands. for example - he can tell esikko has wildly sadistic tendencies, if watching him struggle like this is anything to go by. complimenting him when he's suffering from phantom pain? absolutely nuts, if nothing else. though some of his body enjoys the attention, the undoing of his belt and unzipping of his pants, trying to balance fear and pleasure, aventurine finds, isn't something he enjoys very much.
something else he has noted is that esikko likes to have control, that the cards are in his favor and their little game is going his way. fine, then. aventurine can play along to that, lower his head to esi's shoulder and lean there, needy and wanting, so desperately seeking more of that touch to his lower half yet unable of jerking his hips to chase after it.
aventurine tries to speak nonetheless, but the next time he hacks up a cough, blood comes out in splutters. despite all, he learns something from this too - that it's not illusionary magic, not the phantom feeling of a thorn inside his throat, but possibly a real one. it dirties esikko's nice and tidy shirt, a thin string of blood running down his chin, and a part of him wonders if this, too, will anger him. his right hand tightens its grip on esikko's clothes, a quiet plea.
surely his intention isn't to kill aventurine here, when so many had watched them walk together into his room. surely there are other ways of making him this pathetic, if esi enjoys seeing it so much. aventurine will play the part, really. but surely his luck would keep him alive here, right? )
