( proud of himself? perhaps a bit. his arms encircle esi, just for support, of course, and he rests his cheek on esi's shoulder— also for no particular reason. though he hates this feeling of being soaked through, there are some nice things to it; under the running water, all the pointed scents from earlier are slowly being washed away, leaving only what he knows as esi, and, well— it's a shame that most people here won't be blessed enough to pick up on the last one.

(he can.) still, he is diligent enough to grab what towels remain on their way out, after going through several that fall short of wringing all the water free from his fur. see, this is exactly why he— no, he'll swallow that complaint, for now. pointless, to ruin a perfectly good night over nothing.
... even if it is tempting, he thinks, as he lays the towels out. one after another, on his side of the bed. he won't stay there for long, though not intentionally; such is merely the way of the stage 5 (sleep) clinger. )

So long as my side of the bed doesn't become soaked and render me freezing, it's fine.
( He slips beneath the covers himself, immediately breathing out a sigh at the chill of the layered blankets on top of him. This is so much more comfortable than his assigned room. It's terrible.
His eyes have already drifted closed from his exhaustion, but he's not going to sleep immediately, and Kirma likely knows that. It's rare that he's able to fall asleep normally at all. Then again, he thinks he might just be able to, tonight...
But his leg shifts slightly to the side, bumping against Kirma in a subtle touch. )
